Ghatsila has its diversity with dams, falls, rivers, forest, mountains, valley and the scenes are breathtaking especially at sunset. Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay was a Bengali novelist and writer. He was so fascinated with Ghatshila that he built a red tiled house for himself 'Gouri Kunj' - named after his wife.

Visitor Information
  • Best Season: Oct - Mar | Monsoon: Jun - Sep
  • Check-In time & Check-Out time, as per Hotel Policy.
  • PETS allowed on condition in Private Hotel except Govt. Accommodation (JTDCL / Forest) and Consumption of ALCOHOL is strictly prohibited inside the Tourist Places / Forest / Wildlife Sanctuary.
  • Please carry Binoculars (for wildlife), Specific/Emergency Medicines and wear Sports Shoes/Snicker.
  • Do not enter into the forest without permission and do not destroy/disturb the wildlife and taking photographs of Elephant is not safe for you.
  • Please follow the DOs and DON'Ts before entering into Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary and Visiting Hours: 06:00 AM - 05:00 PM (Everyday)
  • Due to breakdown of the vehicle (till repairing / backup arrangement) or any other cause/unforeseen circumstances during the journey, the tour may be delayed or itinerary may be changed.
  • Do report about offences/offenders and strange events to Forest/Police officials and assisting them.
  • Keep Destination and Environment clean and green.
